This candidate presents as a thoughtful, experienced clinician with a deep commitment to trauma-informed care and a strong passion for EMDR, particularly in working with Defence, ex-Defence, and first responder populations. With a background in private practice and multidisciplinary team environments, they bring a strong foundation in assessment, treatment planning, and outcome monitoring, complemented by clear professional values and a collaborative mindset.

They are especially drawn to working with adult clients in complex trauma contexts and bring a highly structured and ethical approach to EMDR, ensuring safety, pacing, and client-led progress. Their treatment planning integrates screening tools (e.g. Novo Psych), functional assessments, and client narratives, while their outcome tracking reflects both formal measures and reflective dialogue, tailored to each client’s needs and neurodiversity.

This clinician has demonstrated strong capabilities in veteran-centric and high-trauma work, including long-term therapeutic engagement and measurable outcomes. They thrive in team cultures built on mutual respect, kindness, and shared clinical goals, and actively avoid environments that fail to uphold professional values. In supervision, they favour a reflective and collaborative approach and are confident in supporting colleagues while recognising their own limits.

Operationally, they are experienced in structured assessment scheduling, report writing, and digital documentation systems, and are comfortable using AI-based tools for efficient clinical summaries. Their strong boundaries and emotional resilience support sustainable practice in high-pressure environments.

They are actively transitioning out of private practice and are specifically seeking a role in a mission-led, not-for-profit or NGO setting that aligns with their ethics, passion for trauma recovery, and preference for collaborative care. Their preference is to commence in early to mid-January, with flexibility to accommodate non-compete obligations if needed.
