This candidate is a highly experienced practice and team leader with a strong background in counselling, community services, and practitioner leadership within not-for-profit and government-funded organisations. Presenting as warm, authentic, and values-driven, they demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting both clients and practitioners while fostering high-performing, collaborative teams.

They have successfully led multidisciplinary teams of up to 16 practitioners, overseeing service quality, clinical governance, performance management, and practitioner development across virtual and office-based service delivery models. Their leadership style is consultative and approachable, focusing on building psychological safety, maintaining regular communication, and empowering staff through coaching, supervision, and professional development.

In addition to leading established services, they have played a significant role in implementing new government-funded programs, ensuring service delivery aligns with contractual obligations, funding requirements, and organisational standards. They have experience establishing workflows, coordinating service delivery, monitoring program performance, and supporting teams to consistently achieve key performance indicators.

A key strength lies in complex case oversight and clinical decision-making. They have extensive experience supporting practitioners managing high-risk situations, including duty-of-care matters, suicidal clients, family breakdown, and gambling-related harm. They provide real-time guidance during critical incidents, facilitate structured debriefing, and ensure appropriate escalation pathways are followed while maintaining practitioner wellbeing.

They also bring valuable experience supporting vulnerable individuals experiencing housing instability, unemployment, and broader social disadvantage. Although they do not identify as a housing specialist, they have regularly worked alongside housing providers, government departments, and social workers to advocate for clients, prepare supporting documentation, and coordinate practical housing solutions as part of broader case management.

Their governance and quality assurance capabilities are well developed, including experience conducting case reviews, call quality assessments, documentation audits, and performance coaching. They have a strong understanding of compliance within government-funded services and consistently ensure documentation and service delivery meet funding, legislative, and organisational requirements.

Operationally, they are comfortable leading both remote and office-based teams, maintaining engagement through structured communication, visibility, and regular supervision. They recognise the unique challenges of remote leadership and proactively create opportunities for collaboration and connection across dispersed teams.

Overall, this candidate offers an excellent combination of leadership, clinical governance, practitioner development, and stakeholder engagement. Their calm, supportive leadership style, commitment to continuous improvement, and extensive experience within community services position them well for senior practice leadership and service delivery roles.
