Based full time onsite in their Sunshine VIC offices you will assess property damage, manage repairs end-to-end, and coordinate trades and stakeholders to deliver on timelines, quality, and outcomes.
Strong customer service skills are essential, including experience managing customers, handling pushback, delays, and complaints, and demonstrating empathy with a customer-centric approach.
You’ll also bring solid repair management experience, from assessing and scoping to negotiating works and driving jobs through to completion. Technical capability is key, whether through hands-on trade knowledge or equivalent experience, along with the ability to interpret damage, explain repairs clearly, understand materials and methods, and make confident independent decisions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conduct virtual assessments of insured properties using virtual assessing
- Produce detailed reports, determine cause, coverage, damage, and best repair methods.
- Review scope of works and provide reports to ensure the most cost effective and timely methods of repairs.
- Communicate the extent of damage and repair schedules with customers
- Liaise with local authorities and third-party building surveyors regarding compliance issues and ensure repairs comply with relevant BCA and/or Australian standards.
- Exposure to estimation/quotes/scope of works within the insurance and/or building industry.
- Competent with computer software systems
- Ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, including vulnerable customers, builders, and suppliers.
- Background in producing accurate scope of works
