Reporting to a senior operations leader, you will have full accountability for site performance, with a strong focus on safety, people leadership, commercial outcomes, and operational excellence. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being close to the operation while also driving strategic improvements across a complex, production-focused environment.
You’ll play a key role in leading a high-performing team, strengthening internal and external relationships, and driving continuous improvement across a critical part of the business — with strong leadership support and a clear mandate to succeed.
Your day will involve:
- Leading and embedding safety and environmental standards across the operation
- Owning performance across production, cost control, quality, and planning
- Managing budgets, forecasts, and P&L outcomes
- Partnering closely with commercial and operational stakeholders to deliver revenue and performance targets
- Hands-on leadership of employees and contractors
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant licenses, approvals, and regulatory requirements
- Contributing to short and long-term capital works and maintenance planning
- Significant experience in quarries, mining, or hard rock operations
- Strong background in hard rock excavation, crushing and processing environments
- Current or obtainable SSE (Site Senior Executive) qualification (or equivalent statutory ticket)
- Proven operational leadership with commercial and P&L accountability
- A confident, visible people leader who builds engaged, accountable teams
- A practical, improvement-focused mindset with a track record of lifting performance
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
You’ll be stepping into a senior leadership role with real influence, excellent leadership support, and the opportunity to shape the performance and culture of a key quarries business. A highly competitive package is on offer, and relocation support may be considered for the right candidate.
