We are partnering with a large, complex, customer focused organisation to appoint an experienced Project Manager on a contract basis to lead a strategically significant, enterprise-wide technology initiative.
This role is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of a single, high-impact project that establishes strong foundations across systems, processes, data and operating models, enabling future phases of transformation. The environment is highly visible, technically complex and governance-led, requiring strong executive engagement and delivery discipline .
The Opportunity:
You will lead a large-scale project involving 45+ contributors across business, technology and external partners, both on-site and remote. Acting as the primary point of contact, you will operate at the centre of delivery, engaging directly with C-suite sponsors and executive governance forums.
While supported by Solution Delivery Leads across technical workstreams, you will retain overarching accountability for orchestration, integration, risk and outcomes. The role sits within a formal PMO and requires a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality and clarity in a sensitive operating environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery & Governance
- Lead end-to-end delivery of a complex, technology-enabled project within a structured PMO framework
- Establish and manage robust governance including plans, milestones, dependencies, RAID logs and reporting
- Maintain disciplined control of scope, schedule, budget and quality
- Ensure delivery aligns to organisational strategy, technology standards and risk appetite
- Deliver practical, scalable outcomes across:
- Process simplification and standardisation
- Data quality, integrity and integration readiness
- Platform and architectural alignment
- Controls, compliance and risk management
- Partner with Technology and Architecture teams to ensure solutions are secure, sustainable and fit for future phases
- Capture insights and recommendations to inform subsequent stages of transformation
- Act as a trusted delivery partner to senior leaders and executive sponsors
- Prepare and present concise, decision-focused updates to executive committees
- Translate complex delivery and technical concepts into clear business-level insights
- Work closely with business owners to define objectives, success measures and operational impacts
- Coordinate across Technology, PMO, Risk, Compliance, Change and external partners
- Manage vendors and delivery partners to agreed performance and contractual outcomes
- Partner with Change and Business Readiness teams to support adoption and transition
- What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Strong track record of C-suite and senior executive engagement
- Experience coordinating large, multi-disciplinary teams (40+) across business and technology
- Exceptional communication, structure and stakeholder management capability
- Strong planning, risk management and governance discipline
- Experience delivering foundational or enablement initiatives (systems uplift, process standardisation, data or platform readiness)
- Background in regulated or member-focused environments (e.g. financial services, insurance, utilities)
- Vendor and partner management experience
- $1000 per day

- Initial 6 month contract with strong likelihood of extension
