Our client is the largest integrated construction materials company in Australia, producing and selling a broad range of construction materials, including quarry products, cement, concrete, asphalt and recycled materials.  Employing circa 9,100 employees and contractors nationally, their extensive footprint includes some 356 operating sites nationally.
  
Reporting to the Category Manager Portfolio – Raw Materials, Services and Contractors, they are seeking to appoint an Indirect Procurement Specialist, to manage procurement for critical services including labour hire, legal, marketing, travel, facilities, road services, and consultancy.   You will play a strategic role in shaping sourcing programs, driving analytics, and delivering commercial outcomes within Boral’s $870m portfolio.

What You Will Bring to the Role

  • 3–5 years’ procurement/category management experience in indirect services.
  • Strong analytics capability with advanced Excel and Tableau skills.
  • Proven track record in sourcing programs and supplier negotiations.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborative, resilient and commercially minded, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
  • Driving procurement projects across labour hire, professional services, operational services corporate spend.
  • Assist with delivery and deployment of national and regional spend and supplier management strategies for the respective categories
  • Assist with implementation of multi-year category plans, delivery of value benefits, sourcing, change management and vendor management plans.
  • Work in collaboration with the Category team and stakeholders to identify opportunities and deliver value against agreed targets around savings / value delivery, risk management and governance for national and regional spend.
  • Support Category Team in managing the end-to-end procurement process for the programs/projects.
  • Delivering analytics, reporting and insights for portfolio optimisation and executive reviews.
  • Ensuring value, quality and compliance in contract execution.
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships across diverse business units.
  • Some occasional interstate travel
