You will lead a team of 11 specialists, including Quality Control (8) and Major Events Coordination (3), overseeing operational preparedness, incident coordination, governance, insights, and the uplift of processes, controls and assurance frameworks.
About the Opportunity
In this critical leadership position, you will:
- Build, refine and lead the organisation's national catastrophe preparedness and response capability
- Establish strong operational rhythms, playbooks, governance frameworks and quality assurance maturity
- Coordinate cross-functional response across claims, assessing, commercial, finance, data, operations and executive stakeholders
- Review, uplift and optimise existing processes, controls, risk frameworks and QA insights to drive enterprise improvement
- Lead preparedness cycles, operational planning, incident notifications, stakeholder meetings and data-driven decision-making
- Represent the function across senior forums and collaborate on technology, weather-data and satellite-imagery initiatives that drive real-time insight and operational accuracy
- Lead and grow a specialist team, fostering structure, accountability, initiative and proactive problem-solving
What you will bring to this role:
