About the role:
- Partnering with operational leaders to identify risk and drive improvement through practical, hands-on solutions. This is an ‘on-site’ hands-on role
- Managing the site’s Risk Register, leading risk assessment processes, and identifying any gaps
- Coaching and supporting managers and frontline teams to embed a high-performance safety culture
- Leading and supporting incident investigations, including corrective action follow-ups
- Overseeing Chain of Responsibility with risk mitigation strategies & continuous improvement
- Monitoring and reviewing safety practices across construction and operational sites
- Supporting training, auditing, and continuous improvement programs
- Managing injury claims and rehab coordination as needed
- Providing smart, timely reporting and compliance documentation, delivering above your KPI’s
About you
You will have a safety-first focus, be a hands-on problem solver and an excellent communicator, where you will collaborate with teams and have a consultative approach, to see you lead change, drive standardisation and uplift procedures, systems and processes, following best practice.

Consulting on a daily basis with the General Manager, and reporting to the Head of HSEQ, you will be a business partner to the GM, and work with the operations and service teams to drive implementation and uplift existing HSE policies, systems and standards. You will also play a crucial role in maintaining ISO accreditations and embed safer behaviours across their Queensland site.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 5 years in a HSEQ or compliance role.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with a consultative, collaborative approach, delivery & outcomes focused.
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety.
- Class C Driver’s License.
- HSEQ experience in a similar role, ideally within the chemicals, waste, transport and/or manufacturing sector.
- Knowledge of WHS, Environment, Dangerous Goods and Chain of Responsibility Legislation.
- EQ&S Management Systems knowledge & implementing HSEQ management systems that meet ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards.
- A flexible, ‘can do’ attitude, a positive approach, where your solution providing skills and outside of the box thinking will deliver results.
- This is on-site position.
