We are seeking an experienced Contracting Supervisor
to join their team in Townsville on a fixed-term 12-month contract. If you're passionate about operational excellence, leadership, and safety, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.
Your New Role
Reporting to the Area Manager, you’ll be overseeing the daily operations of road surfacing crews in the Asphalt business. You'll be responsible for delivering projects safely, on time and to the highest quality, while fostering strong team performance and positive customer relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Comply with OH&S policy and ensuring Safety & Environment standards are met
- Scoping works and ensuring correct resourcing prior to commencement
- Leading and mentoring teams to deliver safe and efficient project outcomes
- Managing day-to-day operations including financial, quality and volume targets
- Collaborating with clients, subcontractors and suppliers on-site
- Evaluating team performance and driving continuous improvement
- Proven experience in asphalt manufacturing or road surfacing (asphalt/sprayed seal)
- Strong customer engagement and site-level negotiation skills
- Knowledge of contractual, technical and systems-based project delivery
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
