Technical Operations Lead – Solar Battery Division

With a solid foundation built on the values of Integrity, Accountability, Diligence, Communication, and Teamwork, this organisation is seeking a hands-on leader to step into a pivotal role supporting technical installation and working closely with the Service Co-Ordinator/Scheduler and broader technical team.
This is not a “sit back and oversee” role. We are looking for someone who knows the solar battery industry inside and out and is ready to roll up their sleeves from day one. You’ll be leading daily operations, supporting compliance, improving systems, and ensuring the business runs smoothly across sales, installations, compliance, and administration.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading day-to-day operations across sales, admin, field, and installation functions
- Ensuring all installations are compliant with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal protocols
- Providing technical support in quoting, switchboard reviews, and site inspections
- Identifying and resolving process gaps and implementing improved systems and workflows
- Collaborating with the Service Co-Ordinator/Scheduler to optimise scheduling and service delivery
- Coaching and supporting a team of committed staff, ensuring accountability and development
- Engaging with customers, solving issues, and maintaining a high standard of professionalism
- Monitoring and reporting on key performance metrics, compliance risks, and team output
- Supporting long-term strategic planning and business growth
- Experience in the solar battery or electrical services industry (minimum 5 years)
- Qualified Electrician (current or previous) with residential solar installation knowledge
- Strong understanding of Clean Energy Council standards, compliance, and technical installation
- Proven leadership skills in both field and office environments
- Strong quoting and customer engagement capability
- Practical problem solver with an eye for continuous improvement
- Comfortable with smart technology platforms and reporting tools
- Emotionally intelligent, team-oriented, and capable of leading from the front
- Current Queensland Electrical Work Licence (QMEC)
- Clean Energy Council (CEC) Accreditation with Battery Endorsement
- Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) certification for battery systems
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE30820) or equivalent preferred
