The Opportunity
Are you a proven leader in home assessing, loss adjusting or insurance building repairs, ready to take the next step in your career? This newly created State Manager role offers the chance to lead and grow a team of on-road home assessors across NSW, driving performance, customer outcomes, and operational excellence.

It’s a rare blend of hands-on delivery and big-picture oversight, perfect for a commercially minded, systems-focused leader who thrives in complexity and is passionate about people leadership, customer outcomes, and operational efficiency.

  • Lead, mentor and grow a team of assessors, embedding a culture of quality, consistency and outstanding customer service
  • Oversee the end-to-end management of home insurance claims, including complex and escalated matters.
  • Drive performance through strong leadership, coaching, and building a positive team culture.
  • Provide commercial oversight, balancing customer outcomes with cost and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with suppliers and builders to ensure compliance, timeliness, and quality outcomes.
  • Contribute to change programs, process improvements, and the adoption of new technology systems.
  • Report on portfolio performance, risks, and opportunities to senior management.

About You
  • Proven leadership experience in insurance, assessing, or building/construction 
  • Strong knowledge of home claims, building repair, or restoration practices.
  • A logical and systems-minded approach to problem solving and portfolio management.
  • The ability to engage, inspire, and win the hearts and minds of your team.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to balance cost, compliance, and customer outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills – both with customers and industry professionals.
  • Experience working with claims/assessing systems (knowledge of Nexus or similar systems advantageous).
