This newly created State Manager role offers the chance to lead and grow a team of on-road home assessors across NSW, driving performance, customer outcomes, and operational excellence.

- Lead, mentor and grow a team of assessors, embedding a culture of quality, consistency and outstanding customer service
- Oversee the end-to-end management of home insurance claims, including complex and escalated matters.
- Drive performance through strong leadership, coaching, and building a positive team culture.
- Provide commercial oversight, balancing customer outcomes with cost and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with suppliers and builders to ensure compliance, timeliness, and quality outcomes.
- Contribute to change programs, process improvements, and the adoption of new technology systems.
- Report on portfolio performance, risks, and opportunities to senior management.
About You
- Proven leadership experience in insurance, assessing, or building/construction
- Strong knowledge of home claims, building repair, or restoration practices.
- A logical and systems-minded approach to problem solving and portfolio management.
- The ability to engage, inspire, and win the hearts and minds of your team.
- Commercial acumen and the ability to balance cost, compliance, and customer outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills – both with customers and industry professionals.
- Experience working with claims/assessing systems (knowledge of Nexus or similar systems advantageous).
