As the Sourcing and Partnering Lead

Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Capability Uplift – Lead a team of Strategic Sourcing Specialists and Procurement Partners while mentoring decentralised buyers.
- Sourcing Strategy Management – Deliver fit-for-purpose sourcing strategies aligned to business priorities.
- Procurement Partnering – Be a trusted commercial advisor to all business units, driving early engagement and proactive solutions across multi-disciplined teams and environments
- Commercial Negotiations – Lead complex procurement negotiations, delivering sustainable contracts and risk-managed outcomes.
- Governance & Compliance – Ensure all sourcing activity meets legislative, compliance and policy requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Build trusted, high-impact relationships across all organisational levels.
- Functional Maturity – Collaborate with procurement peers to drive consistency, uplift and best practice across the function.
- 5+ years in senior procurement roles across diverse categories, incl. services, IT, maintenance, and infrastructure.
- Seasoned commercial negotiator with a track record in leading high-value, complex sourcing arrangements.
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to inspire, uplift, and deliver in a complex environment.
- Skilled in procurement compliance, governance, and stakeholder engagement.
- Tertiary qualifications in procurement, law, business, or commerce (CIPS highly regarded).
- Experienced in decentralised, federated environments, ideally across education, government, health or NFP sectors.
- Known for values-led leadership, resilience, and strategic impact.
- Postgrad studies in commercial law, procurement or project change management (e.g.PRINCE 2, Agile)
- Familiarity with sustainability, social procurement and modern slavery frameworks.
- Strong capability in procurement analytics and reporting.
