Project Supervisor
Join a dynamic and supportive team as a Project Supervisor, where you’ll play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of a key construction project on an operational site. About the Role As the Project Supervisor, you will oversee daily on-site activities to ensure that construction works are executed to specification, on time, and in line with safety and quality standards. You will coordinate with project subcontractors, and be the key point of contact between site and senior project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities.
- Ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, and timelines.
- Lead health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance, including site inductions, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
- Monitor and report on site progress, addressing delays or disruptions promptly.
- Maintain strong communication with Senior Project Manager, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Oversee site documentation including time sheets, site diaries, and incident reports.
- Support quality control through regular inspections and issue resolution.
- Qualifications: Certificate IV or Diploma in Building and Construction (or equivalent).
- Experience: Previous experience as an ‘on-site’ Project Supervisor on construction projects.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding OH&S legislation, and quality standards. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Permit to Work Systems: Proven experience in PTW systems, including authorisation, monitoring, and closing of permits.
- Leadership: Ability to motivate teams, allocate tasks effectively, and resolve conflicts on site.
- Communication: Strong communication skills and reporting skills to liaise across all multi-disciplinary teams, collaborating with on-site engineering, operations, construction contractors, Project Managers, reporting to the Senior Project Manager.
- Key Role in a Significant Build project: Be part of a high-profile project in Geelong, VIC.
