After school: 2:00pm–6:00pm, Mon–Fri + school holidays (full-time hours available)
$34–$38/hour + Super + NFP Salary Packaging
If you’re a Diploma-qualified educator who enjoys leading a team, building great programs, and making a real impact in a community then this is a rare chance to step into a Coordinator role with genuine purpose.
This not-for-profit service is ready to re-open and grow their OOSH program and they’re looking for a confident, capable Coordinator to bring it to life.
Importantly, if you’re looking for more hours, the service can combine OOSH with additional hours in the preschool (ELC) to create a full-time role for the right person.
Why you’ll love it here
- Full-time option available: combine OOSH + extra ELC hours (for the right candidate)
- School-term friendly base hours: 2:00pm–6:00pm, Monday to Friday
- Full-time hours available in school holidays (vacation care)
- Great hourly rate: $34–$38/hour + super (aligned to experience)
- NFP salary packaging: boost your take-home pay
- Relocation support may be available for the right candidate
- A genuinely supportive team culture — people back each other, communicate openly, and take pride in quality care
- A community-connected service where children and families are known, respected, and welcomed
- Coordinate the day-to-day delivery of the OOSH service (after school + vacation care)
- Lead and mentor educators to deliver safe, engaging, inclusive programs
- Design and deliver programming aligned to My Time, Our Place (MTOP)
- Own service compliance and documentation aligned to the National Quality Framework (NQF/NQS)
- Build strong relationships with families, the school community and local services
- Help re-establish enrolments and strengthen the service’s reputation in the community
- Ensure strong child safe, WHS, and risk management practice every day
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
- Confidence leading a program/service and guiding a small team
- Strong knowledge of children’s wellbeing, behaviour guidance and inclusive practice
- A calm, practical leadership style with clear communication
- A genuine commitment to child safety, professionalism and continuous improvement
- Current (or willingness to obtain): WWCC, First Aid (E&C setting), anaphylaxis/asthma, and required child protection training
Note: Prior “OOSH Coordinator” title experience is not essential — this can suit a strong Diploma educator ready for their next step (ideally ~2 years post-Diploma experience).
