Our international client is a premium manufacturer and supplier of customized classroom design solutions. With a passion for service and great pride in their brand, they have an enviable history of success offering to Schools the ability to utilize customized ergonomic & modulised classroom furniture to best support the learning opportunity of each student, enabling the schools to support their best practice teaching with leading edge customized classroom designs.   With an enviable global client base across 28 countries, they are leveraging off their many successes and are continuing to develop their global reach. Within Australia alone, they have over 1000+ current customers.

Today they are seeking a National Sales Manager to lead a pivotal phase of renewal, growth and market engagement.  This is a senior, highly visible leadership role with responsibility for rebuilding momentum, strengthening relationships and leading a national team through a period of exiting growth and transformation. The role offers genuine influence, autonomy and a clear pathway to broader leadership responsibility.

The Opportunity

Reporting to their parent company Head of Sales Aust & NZ, you will take ownership of the national sales function for a premium, purpose-driven product portfolio servicing schools and education providers across Australia.  Your mandate is not short-term transactional sales. Instead, success will be defined by building trusted relationships, embedding sales discipline, lifting capability and positioning the business for sustainable growth over the next 3–5 years.

Key focus areas include:
  • Leveraging off a history of success operating as a trusted partner within the education market
  • Reigniting lost relationships through a targeted/proactive client engagement strategy
  • Leading, coaching and uplifting a geographically dispersed national sales team
  • Building executive-level relationships with key education stakeholders, associations and influencers
  • Driving sales strategy, pipeline discipline, forecasting accuracy and performance rhythm
  • Partnering closely with marketing, operations and peer sales leaders across a multi-brand portfolio
  • Acting as a senior representative of the business in market, at industry events and forums

What You’ll Bring

You are a commercially astute, people-centred sales leader with the credibility and maturity to lead through complexity, build trust in market and lift sales performance through discipline rather than pressure.

You will bring a combination of strategic thinking and hands-on leadership, with the confidence to roll up your sleeves early, listen deeply and earn followership before driving change.  Specifically, you will demonstrate:
  • Proven national or multi-state sales leadership experience, ideally within a B2B, consultative or design-led environment where long sales cycles, multiple stakeholders and relationship depth are critical to success
  • A strong track record in sales transformation or turnaround, including stabilising underperforming teams, resetting sales rhythm and embedding consistent operating discipline across dispersed regions
  • Deep capability in consultative, solution-based selling, with the ability to lead teams away from transactional activity toward insight-led engagement, needs discovery and value-based conversations
  • Credibility with senior decision-makers, including principals, executive leaders, boards, associations or government-adjacent stakeholders, and confidence representing the business at industry forums and events
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop experienced sales professionals, building capability, accountability and confidence rather than relying on command-and-control leadership
  • Strong commercial and analytical acumen, including pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, sales planning, performance reporting and use of CRM and data to drive insight and decision making
  • Experience operating in matrix or multi-brand environments, partnering effectively with marketing, operations and peer sales leaders to deliver aligned go-to-market outcomes
  • A leadership style grounded in trust, integrity and professionalism, with the emotional intelligence to lead through change, manage underperformance and bring people on the journey
  • High personal standards and presence, with the ability to represent a premium brand in market and set the tone for professionalism, preparation and follow-through
  • A long-term mindset, motivated by building something sustainable and meaningful over time, rather than chasing short-term wins
Industry background is flexible. Candidates from services sectors, education-adjacent sectors, design-led products, manufacturing, or complex B2B environments will be well regarded, provided they bring the leadership maturity and consultative sales capability required for this role.

So what’s in it for you?
This is a rare opportunity to step into a national leadership role with an international organisation and enjoy real influence, autonomy and a clear mandate to build, lead and grow.

You will be entrusted with a business at an inflection point - one where the foundations are strong, the product is respected, and the opportunity now lies in leadership, discipline and market engagement.

What’s on offer includes:
  • Senior national role with genuine impact- you will shape sales strategy, culture and capability, not inherit a rigid playbook
  • Competitive executive package of approximately $200,000–$220,000 base + super + car + incentive plan, with flexibility for the right candidate
  • Career pathway, with the role positioned to evolve into broader Head of Sales or country-level leadership as the business grows or internationally if that is your preference
  • Autonomy and trust from senior leadership, with the backing to diagnose, reset and implement change in a considered and sustainable way
  • A purpose-led product offering, delivering meaningful outcomes in education and learning environments rather than commoditised sales
  • A long runway for impact, with realistic expectations in the first 6-12 months focused on stabilisation, credibility and foundations - not short-term pressure
  • National exposure and executive visibility, including engagement with industry bodies, associations and senior stakeholders
  • A leadership role you can own, where success will be defined by how well you build people, relationships and long-term performance

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a national sales function at a pivotal moment of renewal and growth. You will have the mandate to design the playbook, lead meaningful change and build the discipline and capability required for sustained national performance.
