The Opportunity
An opportunity exists for an experienced Finance Manager to join a well-established organisation in a pivotal role reporting to senior leadership.
This is more than a traditional finance management role. While you will oversee the full finance function including management accounting, budgeting, statutory reporting, tax and payroll, you will also play a key advisory role—providing commercial insights, supporting business cases, assessing risk and helping inform better business decisions.
This role suits someone who enjoys operating in the detail, while also contributing at a broader strategic level.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Control
- Lead month-end reporting, reconciliations and management reporting
- Prepare year-end financial statements and support audit requirements
- Manage BAS, FBT and statutory compliance obligations
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable and payroll processes
- Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles
- Analyse performance against budget and provide insights on variances
- Support long-term financial planning
- Identify risks, opportunities and cost-benefit outcomes
- Partner with senior leaders to provide financial advice and decision support
- Develop financial models and business case analysis
- Contribute insights that improve operational and commercial outcomes
- Support reporting across commercial agreements and projects
- Strengthen financial controls, systems and governance practices
- Review processes and recommend improvements
- Contribute to operational and commercial projects as required
You are a commercially minded finance professional who combines strong technical capability with sound judgement and a collaborative approach.
You will bring:
- Proven experience in a similar Finance Manager or Senior Finance role
- Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting capability
- Experience with statutory compliance, tax and financial reporting
- Commercial acumen and the ability to influence stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Experience improving controls, systems and processes
- Exposure to picking up new systems, Salesforce, PowerBI and Dynamics 365 BC will be highly regarded
