The Role as an Exercise Physiologist, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based treatments and wellbeing programs. You’ll support veterans and their families across areas such as physical injury, chronic disease management, pain, neurological dysfunction, and mental health.

The role includes a mix of individual and group sessions, as well as leading exercise and education programs. You’ll also contribute to program design and evaluation, liaise with stakeholders, and help create a safe and supportive environment within our rehabilitation facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake clinical assessments and implement tailored exercise-based therapies.
  • Deliver both individual and group rehabilitation programs, including hydrotherapy, Pilates, and conditioning classes.
  • Contribute to the design and evaluation of wellbeing programs.
  • Liaise with referrers and external stakeholders to promote services.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with ESSA and funding frameworks.
  • Stay current with contemporary exercise physiology practices and participate in supervision and professional development.
About You
  • Tertiary qualifications in Exercise Physiology and ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist membership.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an exercise physiology role.
  • Skilled in managing musculoskeletal and neurological dysfunction, chronic disease, and pain.
  • Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or ability to obtain).
  • Ability to work independently with support from a remote Clinical Lead.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
  • (Preferred) Experience supporting Defence members and families, delivering both group and individual programs.
