Today they are seeking an experienced Contract Business Analyst - Procurement to provide specialist contract review and commercial analysis capability within an active procurement workstream.
This is a hands-on, detail-focused role centred on contract analysis and commercial insight- not process redesign or system implementation.
About the Role
Working closely with Procurement, Legal, Finance and Transformation stakeholders, you will:
- Review and analyse a large and diverse portfolio of supplier contracts
- Extract and document key contractual information including:
• Contract end and renewal dates
• Notice periods
• Early termination provisions and penalties
• Change of control, novation and assignment clauses
• Commercial and service dependencies
- Identify contractual risks, constraints and timing considerations
- Assess contracts for relevance to current procurement and transformation
activity
- Develop clear commercial summaries to inform:
• Sequencing and scheduling decisions
• Financial exposure and cost implications
• Vendor engagement and transition planning
- Work alongside Procurement and Legal to clarify interpretations where
required
- Maintain structured documentation to support executive and program
reporting
What you will bring to the role:
You will be a commercially astute Business Analyst with strong procurement and sourcing experience. You have hands-on exposure reviewing and analysing commercial contracts, not just managing procurement processes.
You will bring:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Commercial Analyst within procurement environments
- Strong understanding of contract lifecycle and renewal management
- Experience analysing termination, exit and penalty clauses
- Ability to assess commercial risk and financial exposure
- Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Strong Excel and documentation capability (contract registers, structured summaries, analysis outputs)
- Confidence engaging senior stakeholders
- Ability to work at pace and manage ambiguity
- Experience supporting transformation, separation or transaction-related procurement
- Exposure to large corporate or regulated environments
- Experience working closely with Legal and Finance on contract interpretation
- An immediate start available
- Brisbane-based - 4 days per week onsite 1 day at home
- Reporting into a dynamic Procurement / Transformation stream
- Daily rate: $700 - $756 depending on exp
- Min 6 month contract
