Our client is a major, community-centred organisation that delivers services across education, infrastructure, and social good. Operating within a federated, complex environment, it is strengthening its procurement and contracting frameworks to ensure sustainable, transparent, and compliant supplier relationships.

This newly created position offering the opportunity to shape how a large, values-based organisation manages third-party contracts, supplier onboarding, and compliance assurance,
embedding governance discipline and ethical best practice across every engagement.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Procurement & Contracting, this role leads enterprise-wide oversight of contracting, supplier onboarding, and compliance governance. You'll design, uplift, and embed frameworks that ensure legal, regulatory, and ethical compliance, while supporting ongoing procurement transformation and supplier assurance
programs.
Your impact will extend across strategic, operational, and cultural levels — setting the tone for how contracts are executed, suppliers are onboarded, and compliance is measured and improved.
Your key responsibilities will include
- Lead enterprise contracting and supplier onboarding frameworks, ensuring strong probity, risk management, and audit readiness.
- Drive continuous improvement and transformation projects across procurement, compliance, and supplier assurance.
- Oversee Modern Slavery compliance, ESG and CSR reporting, and ensure alignment to ethical procurement standards.
- Provide strategic contracting advice and governance support to senior stakeholders across schools and business units.
- Build and maintain trusted partnerships with legal, finance, and procurement teams to streamline processes and mitigate risk.
- Develop and implement performance dashboards and compliance reporting to support decision-making and transparency.
- Uplift the organisation's compliance culture, building capability and confidence across teams.
You're an experienced and credible professional who blends commercial acumen, governance rigour, and relationship intelligence. You thrive in complex environments, can influence at senior levels, and maintain composure when leading through ambiguity and change.
Your background demonstrates:
- Proven leadership in procurement, contracting, compliance, or supplier assurance.
- Strong understanding of risk management, probity, and governance frameworks.
- Success in driving organisational uplift and continuous improvement across contract management or supplier compliance.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to balance assurance discipline with practical operational delivery.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, law, commerce, procurement, or public administration(CIPS or postgraduate study highly regarded).
- Exposure to education, government, healthcare, or not-for-profit sectors will be advantageous.

- Remuneration: Circa $192k package
- Workplace flexibility: 4 days on-site, 1 day WFH
