The Brisbane Club is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Finance & Administration Officer
to support the daily financial operations of our esteemed private Club. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role plays a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting accounts payable and receivable, assisting with reconciliations, and ensuring the efficient administration of key finance functions.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a small team, is adaptable, and takes pride in accuracy, discretion, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the processing of accounts payable and receivable
- Bank reconciliations and maintenance of financial records
- Support payroll preparation and superannuation payments
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and month-end processes
- Maintain member billing records and process membership-related transactions
- Assist with stocktake entries and cellar financial recording (noting Monday and Tuesday cellar-based computer access)
- Liaise with suppliers and Club staff on financial and administrative matters
- Provide general administrative support to the Finance Manager
Work Schedule
- Start time anytime from 7:30 am onwards
- Mondays and Tuesdays require access to a computer in the cellar – finish time no earlier than 5:00 pm on these days
- Five-day working week preferred
- Immediate start available
Qualifications and Skills
- Prior experience in a similar finance or accounts support role
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Proficiency with accounting software and Excel (experience with MYOB, Xero, Northstar or similar preferred)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to support Club values and operations
